PS3 Preorder Junkie

I confess, I’ve become a junkie.  I’ve been obsessively watching Amazon’s PS3 page for over a week now.  I even installed the ReloadEvery FireFox extension to reload the page every 30 seconds on the off chance I might see the pre-order start and get in on one.  And in case that mythical “we’ll let you know when it goes on sale” message graces my INBOX, I’ve set up a filter to sound alarms and forward the message to my pager.

Of course, watching the Amazon forums at the bottom of the page has been especially amusing… assures me I’m not alone in my neurosis.

The Cartoon that Ended the World (part deux)

Nothing new here, just the same weird sensitivity fascism we were seeing a year ago. When one country’s foreign minister summons another country’s ambassador to protest because some kids did something offensive at summer camp, it becomes clear that someone has lost the plot. And if the imams of the world would like for us to believe that Islam is a grown-up religion and not just another excuse for tribal war-mongering, they need to tell their people not to threaten, harm, fire-bomb, intimidate, or otherwise act childish toward the people of Denmark.
